. The Parts Specialist provides a high level of service to retail and installer customers and supports store management in assigned tasks.
Essential Job Functions
- Follow and promote all company customer service programs
- Greet retail/walk‑in customers and assist them in merchandise selection
- Assist managers and installer specialists in serving professional customers
- Complete assigned company training
- Provide excellent service to customers calling the store
- Maintain and secure the cash drawer, process cash/checks and credit card transactions
- Process exchanges and returns for credit
- Address and resolve customer complaints
- Complete daily image maker and planogram updates, stocking, cleaning, etc.
- Perform daily operational tasks such as preparing returns, stock adjustments, inventory cycle counts
- Operate brake lathe and other store test equipment after training
- Perform in‑store services for customers where allowed (install wipers, test batteries, scan trouble codes, replace headlight capsules, etc.)
- Occasionally drive a delivery vehicle when business needs dictate
- Other duties as assigned
Skills/Education/Knowledge/Experience/Abilities
- Required:
Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences - Ability to provide outstanding, friendly and professional customer service
- Must be able to multitask, handling customers on the phone and in the store at the same time
- Desired:
Familiar with automotive parts, cataloging, weatherly index system, and automotive sales or service - Desired: ASE certification
- Desired:
Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired)
