CER Education are currently recruiting for an experienced School Administrator to join a busy and welcoming secondary school in South Tyneside. This is an exciting opportunity for a confident and organised administrator to become part of a professional school team and provide effective administrative support across the school.

The successful candidate will have previous school administration experience and be confident working in a busy educational environment. Due to the nature of the role, previous experience working within a school administration setting is essential.

The Role
  • Providing efficient day-to-day administrative support to the school
  • Managing incoming calls, emails and general enquiries
  • Maintaining accurate school records and databases
  • Supporting staff, pupils, parents and visitors in a professional and welcoming manner
  • Assisting with school correspondence and documentation
  • Maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information appropriately
  • Supporting the wider administrative team with general office duties
  • Working effectively in a busy environment and prioritising tasks as required
The Ideal Candidate
  • Has previous school administration experience - essential
  • Has excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Is confident using IT and school administration systems
  • Can work effectively in a fast-paced school environment
  • Is professional, approachable and reliable
  • Can communicate confidently with staff, pupils, parents and visitors
  • Has a strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Is available for an immediate start
