Surveying Manager
Location:
Middlefields Industrial Estate
Salary: £48,226 pa
South Tyneside Council’s Housing Services are looking for an exceptional Surveying Manager to lead our professional building surveying services and ensure our residents live in safe, compliant and well-maintained homes.
Responsibilities- Lead a team of surveyors delivering responsive repairs, damp, mould and condensation interventions, stock condition surveys, structural inspections, Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS) assessments, investment programmes and property‑related compliance activities.
- Drive improvements in housing quality, regulatory compliance, tenant satisfaction and asset performance while preparing for the Social Housing Regulation Act and evolving consumer standards.
- Diagnose property defects, manage complex repairs and ensure housing conditions meet required standards across the housing portfolio.
- Oversee delivery of professional surveying services, ensuring effective management of property condition, disrepair risks, structural issues and housing health hazards.
Highly skilled building surveying professional with a strong technical background, passionate about improving housing quality and committed to delivering excellent outcomes for tenants.
