Seven Education are working in partnership with a forward-thinking secondary school in South Tyneside who are seeking an enthusiastic, inspiring and experienced Secondary PE Teacher to shine bright in their successful department.

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate PE specialist to take the next step in their career, driving up standards, promoting a love of sport and physical activity, and ensuring all students have access to outstanding PE provision.

Your Role:

As the Subject Leader for PE, you will:
Lead, motivate and inspire a dedicated student base to deliver engaging, high-quality lessons.
Oversee the planning and delivery of a broad and inclusive PE curriculum across KS3–KS5.
Promote excellence in both curricular and extra-curricular sport.
Monitor student progress and drive attainment through effective assessment and feedback.
Lead enrichment programmes, sports clubs and inter-school competitions.
Contribute to whole-school initiatives around health, wellbeing, and active lifestyles.

About You:

We’re looking for someone who is:
A qualified teacher with QTS and a strong background in teaching PE.
An ambitious leader who sets high expectations for students.
Skilled at developing curriculum, tracking progress and raising achievement.
Passionate about inspiring young people to participate and succeed in sport.
A confident communicator and team player who thrives in a collaborative environment.

Experience of leading a department or taking on TLR responsibilities would be an advantage, but we also welcome applications from experienced PE teachers ready for a leadership step up.
