Milk Education is seeking caring, enthusiastic, and dedicated Student Wellbeing Coaches to support pupils across Primary Schools in Sunderland and South Tyneside.

As a Student Wellbeing Coach, you will play a crucial role in supporting children's emotional wellbeing, confidence, resilience, and engagement in school life. Working closely with teachers and pastoral teams, you will help pupils overcome barriers to learning, develop positive coping strategies, and build the skills needed to flourish both academically and personally.

This role is ideal for individuals with experience in education, youth work, mentoring, coaching, childcare, support work, psychology, or care settings who are passionate about making a positive impact on young lives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing 1:1 and small group wellbeing support to pupils
  • Supporting children with SEMH, SEND, anxiety, and emotional regulation needs
  • Building positive and trusting relationships with pupils
  • Promoting self-esteem, resilience, confidence, and positive mental wellbeing
  • Encouraging engagement, attendance, and participation in school life
  • Working alongside teachers and pastoral teams to support individual pupil needs
  • Acting as a positive role model and mentor throughout the school day
We Are Looking For:
  • Experience working with children or young people
  • A nurturing, patient, and empathetic approach
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A passion for supporting children's wellbeing and development
  • The ability to build positive relationships and inspire confidence
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
