Are you an experienced ECC nurse with a strong background in ICU care, looking for a rewarding out-of-hours role?
Bridge Referrals is expanding, and we’re excited to introduce Emergency Vet Team (EVT) - a brand-new out-of-hours and emergency service built from the ground up to deliver exceptional patient care while creating a workplace where nurses genuinely enjoy working out of hours.
This is a rare opportunity to join a founding team, helping shape how an ECC service runs while working in a highly supportive, forward-thinking environment.
The RoleAs an OOH/ECC RVN, you will play a vital role in the delivery of emergency and critical care, working alongside our veterinary surgeons to manage a varied and complex caseload.
You will be heavily involved in the nursing of critically ill patients, requiring confidence in:
- ICU and high-dependency patient care
- Emergency triage, admissions and patient support
- Involvement in emergency surgeries
- Advanced anaesthesia and peri-operative support
This is a hands-on role where your nursing skills will be fully utilised at an advanced level.
Facilities & Clinical EnvironmentYou’ll be working within a truly advanced clinical setting. Our facilities include MRI, CT, ultrasound, endoscopy, arthroscopy, laparoscopy, fluoroscopy (dedicated theatre), separate medical and surgical wards, an in-house laboratory, advanced anaesthesia equipment and ventilators.
Our new ICU/high-dependency unit will further enhance our ability to care for complex and critically ill patients, placing nursing care at the centre of everything we do.

- Minimum of two years’ experience in practice
- Proven experience in Emergency & Critical Care and/or ICU (essential)
- Previous out-of-hours experience is advantageous
- Strong clinical skills with the ability to work confidently under pressure
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Highly organised with good attention to detail and competent IT skills
- A proactive approach to learning and ongoing professional development
- 6.6 weeks annual leave (including bank holidays), plus an additional day off for your birthday
