Youth Justice Service Turnaround Project Worker, 37 hpw

Salary: £33,699 per annum

Fixed term contract for 2 years.

Overview

We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated, enthusiastic and experienced individual to work across South Tyneside as part of the Youth Justice Turnaround programme. The Programme is based on the principles of Supporting Families and Early Help framework facilitating a whole family approach to crime prevention, where young people are on the cusp of entering the Youth Justice system and require early intervention to prevent escalation into statutory services.

Objectives

The overall aim of the programme is to achieve positive outcomes for children and families with the goal of preventing them going on to offend by improving the socio‑emotional, mental health and wellbeing of children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Produce thorough assessments and implement multi‑agency support plans using evidence‑based interventions.
  • Case manage young people and act as Lead Professional.
  • Work directly with young people and achieve outcomes within a multi‑agency context.
