Job Requirements

Education:

  • Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology program
  • High School Diploma or equivalent

Work Experience:

  • Experience in a clinical setting preferred

Required

Licenses/Certifications:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) at time of hire (ARC or AHA)
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registration required
  • Applicable state licensure as Radiologic Technologist required
Essential Functions
  • Perform x‑ray services as needed, applying x‑ray energy for diagnosis or treatment across all age groups.
  • Ensure correct positioning and radiation safety for patients of all ages.
  • Assist with patient flow and rooming: verified patient info, vital signs, and expand critical cases to provider.
  • Conduct point‑of‑care tests as needed (flu, strep, urinalysis, ECG, HCG) and provide results to provider.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with ordering/revealing providers to determine best imaging views.
  • Explain procedures to patients, ensuring comfort and safety.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and logs in electronic systems.
  • Perform routine X‑ray equipment maintenance and preventive care.
  • Adhere to radiation safety protocols (ALARA) and infection control.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Knowledge of X‑ray procedures, anatomy, and body mechanics.
  • Knowledge of radiology equipment and safety hazards.
  • Ability to position patients properly and use equipment controls to capture diagnostic images.
  • Identify equipment problems and notify supervisors.
  • Follow infection control and radiologic safety procedures.
