ResponsibilitiesInclude But Are Not Limited To
- Release Management
- Manage and coordinate the end-to-end release process, including scheduling, planning, and execution.
- Act as the primary point of contact for release-related incidents and ensure timely resolution.
- Monitor post-release performance and coordinate rollback procedures if needed.
- Collaboration
- Collaborate with development, QC, and IT teams to ensure seamless releases.
- Ensure effective communication between stakeholders, including developers, QC, and business teams.
- CI/CD Pipelines and Automation
- Design, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines to support efficient release cycles.
- Implement automation for build, test, and deployment processes.
- Agile Practices
- Participate in sprint ceremonies such as daily standups (DSUs), grooming sessions, and retrospectives.
- Version Control
- Manage version control systems and enforce branching/merging strategies.
- Configuration Management
- Maintain and enforce configuration management practices for infrastructure and applications.
- Performance Monitoring and Reporting
- Track release progress and generate reports to identify bottlenecks or areas of improvement.
- Identify opportunities to improve release processes, tools, and methodologies.
- Change Management
- Follow best practices for change management to minimize risk during deployments.
- Documentation
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for release processes, deployment procedures, and issue tracking.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in Dev Ops, release management, or related roles.
- Strong experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Git Lab CI/CD, or Azure Dev Ops.
- Proficiency in version control systems like Git and familiarity with branching strategies.
- Hands-on experience with scripting languages (e.g., YAML, Python, Bash) for automation tasks.
- Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code (Terraform or AWS Cloud Formation)
- Solid understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Familiarity with monitoring and alerting tools like Data Dog and ELK stack
- Experience with VMWare.
- Experience with CD tools like Octopus Deploy.
- Experience with containerization technologies.
- Certification(s) in Dev Ops practices.
- Understands observability best practices.
- Familiarity with observability tools like Open Telemetry.
- Familiarity with hybrid Cloud environments (on prem/colocation).
- Familiarity with AWS and Azure.
