Primary Responsibilities- Design, deploy, and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure to support business applications and services.
- Implement and manage infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform and AWS Cloud Formation.
- Monitor, optimize, and troubleshoot AWS environments for performance, security, and cost‑efficiency.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and deployment pipelines.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for cloud‑based applications and services.
- Document cloud infrastructure, architecture, workflows, and change management processes.
- Ensure robust disaster recovery, high availability, and business continuity strategies across all cloud infrastructure layers.
- Collaborate with Dev Ops and development teams to enable CI/CD pipelines and support application deployments.
- Collaborate with IT Security to implement and maintain secure cloud infrastructure practices.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to identify and implement cloud‑native technology solutions.
- Stay current with AWS services, features, and industry trends, recommending enhancements as appropriate to identify technology opportunities that drive innovation and operational efficiency.
- Help promote cloud adoption and hybrid architecture strategies (AWS), ensuring scalability, security, and cost‑effectiveness.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree;
Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Information Technology, or related field. - 3+ years of hands‑on experience in AWS cloud infrastructure engineering.
- Strong understanding of AWS services, including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, and Cloud Watch.
- Proven experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, Cloud Formation) and automation scripting (Python, Bash, or Power Shell).
- Solid understanding of networking, security concepts, and cloud compliance requirements.
- Familiarity with Dev Ops practices, CI/CD tools, and monitoring platforms (e.g., Data Dog, ELK).
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
- AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Cloud Ops Engineer, AWS Dev Ops Engineer, AWS Solutions Architect and/or Sys Ops Administrator) are highly desirable.
- Understanding of compliance frameworks (PCI‑DSS, SOC2).
- Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, Amazon EKS).
- Experience integrating on‑premises environments (e.g., VMware) with AWS.
- Familiarity with database technologies (SQL, RDS, No
SQL, Databricks, Snowflake). - Familiarity with Event Services Framework.
- Possible off‑hours maintenance and emergency support needed.
- Remote, on‑site, and off‑site support needed.
- Reliable transportation required.
