Lead Machine Operator
Join our Customer Communications Division in South Windsor, CT, as a Lead Digital Press Operator! In this role, you will perform all aspects of digital press and in‑line finishing activities, with a focus on production work, equipment maintenance, and leadership responsibilities.
Job Specifics- Shift: LWN – Wednesday to Friday with alternate Saturday, 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM
- Compensation: $20–$24.20 per hour + Annual Bonus
- Monitor workflow and ensure the department meets customer SLAs.
- Assume supervision responsibilities in their absence.
- Operate inkjet printers (4‑color process at 200 mpm).
- Run two printers at a time, including OCE Jet Stream and Color Stream printers.
- Set up and operate printers efficiently according to established procedures.
- Perform quality checks and complete paperwork accurately.
- Troubleshoot basic machine issues.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Notify supervisors of any equipment or timing issues.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior informal or formal leadership experience in a production environment.
- Experience with cut‑sheet laser and continuous inkjet full‑color printing.
- Preferred experience on OCE/Canon Jetstream or Color stream printers.
- Previous Xerox Igen or Konica cut‑sheet laser printing experience is a plus.
- Ability to multi‑task and operate multiple pieces of equipment simultaneously.
- Self‑starter with keen attention to detail.
- Basic mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
- Good communication skills.
