Receiving Quality Technician at O'Neal Steel
Validate the quality of purchased raw materials and incoming products by conducting receiving inspections.
Responsibilities- Document all inspection results consistent with company procedures and customer requirements and issue non-conformances and/or quality notifications for discrepant conditions as required.
- Maintain accurate records of incoming inspections in accordance with quality control procedures.
- Collaborate with engineering, purchasing, and quality departments to address and resolve quality issues with incoming goods.
- Notify relevant teams about non-conforming materials and incoming product.
- Follow the tag system.
- Fill out, stamp, and sign Quality Inspections.
- Log and file quality records.
- Inspect and verify the quality and quantity of received materials, parts, or products against purchase orders and specifications.
- Conduct dimensional and visual inspections using tools like calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring equipment.
- Support all manufacturing concerns in a timely manner.
- Familiarity with office and warehouse environments.
- Basic knowledge of Aerospace specifications.
- Material handling experience, using a forklift and overhead crane.
- Ability to use and operate the following equipment and tools: coil cart, micrometer, calipers, scale, bander, bander cutters, side loader.
- 1-2 year quality-related experience and/or training is preferred.
