Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer – Distribution Screening Entry in South Windsor, CT, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution. As a Screener with Allied Universal at a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, helping to deter security‑related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. You will interact with team members and visitors, providing outstanding customer service and communication.

- Provide customer service by carrying out security‑related procedures and site‑specific policies, as well as participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Screen individuals, vehicles, and/or packages entering and exiting the logistics and distribution location to help deter unauthorized access or prohibited items.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help deter suspicious activity and support a secure environment.
- Maintain accurate records of incidents, screenings, and daily activities as required by site policies.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with site personnel, visitors, and Allied Universal management as needed.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
