SAIPA Accountant

A leading financial services company based in Pretoria East is seeking a high-performing Accountant to join its dynamic finance team. This company operates in a fast-paced, solutions-driven environment, offering specialized treasury, risk management, and financial services. As an Accountant, you will play a key role in corporate accounting functions, including Debtor Management, Cashbook Processing, and General Accounting for a group of companies. You will ensure accuracy in account reconciliations, statutory returns, and financial reporting. This role reports to the CFO and requires a detail-oriented, analytical thinker who thrives in a structured and high-performance environment.
Key Responsibilities Debtor Management & Customer Account Maintenance

• Raise client invoices accurately and ensure correct revenue allocation.
• Maintain customer accounts, distribute statements, and resolve queries.
• Process approved credit notes and complete client application forms.
• Perform month-end procedures and ensure invoicing reports balance.
• Assist in automating revenue/customer cycle processes.

Corporate Accounting & Financial Reporting

• Perform daily cashbook reconciliations and update the Fixed Asset Register.
• Capture accurate journal entries for financial reporting.
• Prepare/review trial balances and reconcile intercompany loan accounts.
• Consolidate financials across multiple entities for group reporting.
• Ensure compliance with VAT, Employment Taxes, and Dividend Withholding Tax.
• Support statutory requirements, tax registrations, and audit preparations.

Budgeting, Forecasting & Compliance

• Assist in preparing annual budgets and monthly variance reports.
• Maintain up-to-date tax clearance certificates and ensure statutory compliance.
• Facilitate external audits to ensure an unmodified audit report.

What We’re Looking For

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in a similar accounting role.
• SAIPA Designation preferred.
• Strong knowledge of VAT, financial reporting, and reconciliations.
• Proficiency in Xero or similar accounting software.
• Highly analytical with excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Salary: R35,000 - R40,000 per month, but final remuneration package offered by the employer will be determined based on market standards, considering the candidate's qualifications, skills, and level of experience.
