Location: Parow
Junior Bookkeeper / Accountant required in Plattekloof.
Our Accounting Firm client in Plattekloof, Cape Town, is looking for a Junior Bookkeeper / Accountant.
The position is suitable for a junior accounting graduated person with 1-2 years’ experience who seeks an opportunity to obtain valuable experience and knowledge in a busy and diverse accounting practice.
In-house training will be provided.
Minimum Requirements- Accounting /
B.Com degree or equivalent (NQF7) - 1-2 years’ experience
-preferable from an accounting firm processive (but not a must) - Computer literacy – MS Office
- Accounting Software – Pastel
- Accurate processing of Pastel income statement and balance sheet items
- Monthly journals and reconciliations of all general ledgers
- Maintain fixed asset registers
- Processing and Reconciliation of customer and supplier ledgers
- VAT Reconciliations
- Salary processing checking, journals and SARS reconciliations
- Income tax calculations, form completions and submission of returns (individuals, companies)
- General assistance to Senior Accountants as required
- Professional communication with colleagues and clients
