Location: Piet Retief
A leading manufacturing company within the paper industry is seeking a Manufacturing Accountant Assistant to join its Finance team. This opportunity is ideal for a finance professional with experience in a manufacturing environment and a strong understanding of cost accounting, inventory management and financial reporting.
Minimum Requirements
- BCom Accounting, Cost & Management Accounting or Finance
- CIMA qualification or studying towards CIMA will be advantageous
- SAICA/SAIPA articles or equivalent experience will be advantageous
- Previous experience within the paper, pulp, packaging, printing, converting or FMCG manufacturing industry will be highly advantageous.
- 3–5 years' experience in a similar role within a medium to large manufacturing environment
- Experience with standard costing, variance analysis and management reporting
- Experience using ERP systems such as SAP, Syspro, JDE or Oracle
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Assist with manufacturing cost accounting and standard costing
- Perform variance analysis and prepare financial reports
- Support inventory management and stock control processes
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities
- Provide financial support to manufacturing operations
- Assist with cost optimisation and continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with financial policies and reporting requirements
