Principal Specialist – Internal Audit at Vodacom Lesotho
Reporting to the Executive Head M‑PESA, the Manager of internal audit will be responsible for conducting internal audits across the company and managing audit teams for specific audit projects (Finance and Operations Audits).
Key Accountabilities- Planning, executing and reporting on internal audits in line with Vodafone internal audit guidelines and methodology.
- Manage audit teams for specific audit projects.
- Assist in special projects and investigations as and when the need arises.
- Assist with quality control in internal audit and compliance with month‑end procedural requirements, e.g. audit action tracking.
- Maintain solid relationships with partners (audit teams, auditees, management, external advisors, etc.) across the organization to understand issues and identify areas in the control environment for improvement.
- Perform and control the full audit cycle including risk management and control management over operations’ effectiveness, financial reliability and compliance with all applicable directives and regulations.
- Act as an objective source of independent advice to ensure validity, legality and goal achievement.
- Identify loopholes and recommend risk aversion measures and cost savings.
- Prepare all internal audit reporting requirements to the audit committee.
- Internal audit standards.
- Risk assessment.
- Analytical skills (including data analytics) and basic IT audit skills (essential).
- Negotiation and communication skills (verbal and written).
- Relevant B degree (essential).
- Internal audit certification (e.g., CIA or CISA) (essential).
- Minimum of 5 years audit experience (essential).
- Experience in internal audit (essential).
