Head of Accounting

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Head of Accounting to lead the accounting function, ensuring accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and sound financial governance across the business.

• Lead all financial accounting and reporting functions, ensuring accurate and timely statutory reporting.
• Oversee the preparation of company and group consolidated annual financial statements.
• Manage inventory accounting, costing, management accounting integrity, and accounts payable.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, group accounting standards, and all relevant financial regulations.
• Oversee APDP, Production Incentive (PI), EUR1, and Automotive Investment Scheme (AIS) accounting and claims.
• Build strong relationships with auditors, government stakeholders, and group finance teams while providing strategic financial leadership.

• Chartered Accountant CA(SA) or BCom Accounting Honours with completed articles.
• 5–7 years' experience in a financial accounting environment with strong financial reporting exposure.
• Experience with in complex audit, regulatory, or reporting environments will be advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, financial reporting standards, and accounting principles.
• Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, analytical, and strategic thinking skills.
• High levels of integrity, commercial acumen, and sound business judgement.
