PROPERTY FINANCE COORDINATOR
Somerset West: My client, a well-established and respected property management company, is seeking to appoint a detail-oriented and organised Property Finance Administrator to join their professional team.
This opportunity is ideal for a finance professional who enjoys combining sound financial administration with meaningful client interaction within a dynamic property management environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the financial management of a portfolio of sectional title and homeowners' association schemes while building strong relationships with trustees, owners and service providers.
- Preparing and assisting with annual budgets and levy schedules
- Preparing and distributing monthly financial reports
- Issuing levy statements and maintaining accurate owner accounts
- Monitoring debtors and assisting with arrears collections
- Reconciling owner accounts, supplier invoices and payment requisitions
- Processing financial transactions accurately and timeously
- Assisting with month-end procedures and audit preparation
- Investigating and resolving financial queries
- Maintaining accurate financial records and supporting documentation
- Ensuring compliance with internal financial controls and procedures
- Serving as the primary point of contact for trustees, owners and residents regarding financial matters
- Building and maintaining professional relationships with trustees, owners and service providers
- Responding to financial and administrative enquiries professionally and efficiently
- Preparing correspondence and following up on action items
- Assisting with trustee meetings and the preparation of meeting documentation
- Delivering exceptional client service while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism

- Assisting with insurance schedules and annual reporting documentation
- Supporting the Property Manager with administrative requirements
- Coordinating maintenance-related financial administration where required
- Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and industry requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, Financial Management or a related field is essential
- 2-5 years experience in a financial administration or accounting role
- Previous experience within the property management, sectional title, HOA or real estate environment will be highly advantageous
- Sound understanding of accounting principles, reconciliations, debtors and financial reporting
- Experience preparing budgets and working with levy administration will be advantageous
- Advanced computer literacy with strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Excellent numerical accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
- Excellent communication skills in both English and Afrikaans
- Professional, service-driven and client-focused
- Able to prioritise workload and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- High levels of integrity and confidentiality
- Valid driver s licence and own reliable transport
