An established accounting practice, in Ermelo, is seeking a motivated Trainee Accountant / Accountant to join their dynamic team.

Responsibilities
:

• Processing accounting records on Pastel
• Preparing and submitting VAT returns
• Preparing and submitting EMP (payroll tax) returns
• Drafting financial statements
• Account reconciliations
• Debtors and creditors control
• General administrative and accounting duties
• Data entry, verification, and analysis
• Liaising with clients and relevant institutions

• Matric / Grade 12 (Accounting as a subject is advantageous)
• Tertiary qualification in Accounting (BCom) or currently studying towards one (advantageous)
• Strong computer literacy in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Experience with Pastel Accounting is advantageous
• Solid understanding of basic accounting principles
• Excellent communication and administrative skills
• Ability to work accurately, remain organised, and perform under pressure
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
