Job Purpose

To ensure the accurate processing, reconciliation, and reporting of inventory transactions and stock movements, while maintaining stock integrity across the business. The role supports production and operational efficiency by processing stock takes, investigating variances, and ensuring compliance with company policies, food safety, and quality standards

• Accurately process and maintain inventory transactions, stock movements, and finished goods records.
• Capture, analyze, and report stock-related data to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Process daily, weekly, and monthly stock takes and investigate stock variances.
• Monitor and reconcile inventory movements between stores and production.
• Support production and factory operations by ensuring timely and accurate stock processing.
• Verify stock discrepancies and resolve variances where possible before escalation.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, food safety, and quality standards.
• Generate and maintain stock reports to support operational and financial decision-making.
• Work effectively under strict deadlines and provide support during weekends and peak operational periods when required.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and maintain high levels of accuracy, discipline, and accountability in all inventory-related activities.
• Liaise closely with Stock Controllers and factory personnel to ensure accurate stock recording, reconciliation, and resolution of inventory discrepancies.

Experience And Qualifications

• Grade 12 (Matric) with Mathematics and Accounting as subjects.
• Relevant tertiary qualification in Finance, Accounting or Inventory Management.
• 3-4 years' experience in a similar role or inventory, stock control, or finance administration role, preferably within a manufacturing or FMCG environment.
• Knowledge of SYSPRO or a similar ERP system.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office application.
• Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy and data integrity.
• Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and investigate stock variances.
• Experience processing stock takes, inventory reconciliations, and inventory movements.
• Ability to work under pressure.
