Financial Accountant

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly competent Financial Accountant to manage their accounting functions in Vereeniging. This position requires a dedicated professional to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting. You will be responsible for a broad range of accounting tasks, contributing to the overall financial health of the company. As an on-site role, you will work closely with the finance team and other departments to support business operations and strategic objectives.

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with accounting standards.
• Manage the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and completeness of all financial transactions.
• Perform bank reconciliations and reconcile balance sheet accounts.
• Assist with the preparation of tax returns and regulatory filings.
• Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
• Contribute to process improvements within the accounting department.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial accounting.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
