Accountant

Our client in the Agriculture Industry is seeking an Accountant to join their team. The main purpose of the role is to manage the company's financial affairs, ensure adherence to strict financial controls and to oversee day-to-day administrative activities.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. Further qualifications and accounting designations would be advantageous.
• Minimum three years’ relevant experience.
• Knowledge of accounting and other financial principles and practices.
• Understanding of sound governance principles and practices.
• Computer literacy – MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and financial processing/reporting software.

• Plan, manage and coordinate finance related activities for the business.
• Assist in preparation of annual budgets and monitoring actual spending vs budget.
• Preparing and analysing monthly management accounts.
• Reporting to stakeholders on financial and related matters.
• Preparing cash flow forecasts and overseeing the day-to-day cash flow.
• Evaluation of control environment, implementing improvements where appropriate.
• Providing financial support to the operational side of the business.
