About the Role
Our client, a prominent charity organization serving the Nelspruit region, is seeking a meticulous and experienced Finance Officer . This role is essential for maintaining the financial integrity and operational efficiency of the organization across Mpumalanga . You will be responsible for managing day-to-day financial operations, including bookkeeping, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of non-profit accounting principles and is adept at ensuring compliance and providing accurate financial insights to support strategic decision-making.

- Manage all aspects of day-to-day bookkeeping, including recording financial transactions accurately.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
- Administer payroll processing and related compliance requirements.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
- Assist with budget preparation and monitoring.
- Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and non-profit accounting standards.
- Liaise with external auditors during annual audits.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional qualification such as CIMA or ACCA is advantageous.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably within the non-profit sector.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Quick Books, Sage) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and financial reporting.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
