Our client is seeking an experienced Commercial & Cost Accountant to join their Uitenhage team,

• Monitor system prices for raw materials and components
• Continuously monitor material price changes and identify potential risks that could impactthe achievement of cost targets
• Maintain and update standard costing for inventory
• Performactivity-based costing and review the allocation of overhead costs
• Monitor and control overhead expenditure against budget
• Monitorfreight costs against agreed rates with freight forwarders and investigate andreport any deviations
• Review and monitor price variances and ensure that any discrepancies are valid andadequately explained
• Prepare monthly reports and KPIs relating to cost variances, with a specific focus on inventory
• Review and allocate cost centres for all purchases and employee-related costs
• Prepare and implement annual budgets
• Monitor performance against budgets and RFQs for existing contracts across all cost elements
• Assist withthe preparation of RFQs, focusing on raw material, labour, and machine-relatedcosts
• MaintainMHE and lease schedules
• Evaluatesuppliers to ensure they remain competitive
• Maintain the preferred supplier list
• Reviewsupplier invoices and compare them against agreed contractual rates
• Develop and improve workflow processes and approval requests
• Assist withad hoc financial duties as required

• Minimum of2-3 years' relevant experience
• Knowledge of IFRS, auditing, and internal control principles
• Experience in a manufacturing environment (automotive manufacturing experience preferred)
