Audit Manager

My client, an established professional audit and accounting practice is looking for an accomplished Audit Manager who enjoys the combination of technical excellence and client relationships. This is an opportunity to take ownership of varied audits, build trusted relationships with business owners and make a visible contribution in a hands-on practice in Somerset West

• Manage varied audit engagements and interact directly with SME decision-makers.
• Combine technical audit work with client service and practical problem-solving.
• Take responsibility for engagements from planning to completion, rather than being confined to a narrow specialist role.

• Lead and review external audit engagements, ensuring quality, efficiency and timely completion.
• Manage client communication, audit planning, budgets, risk assessments, working papers and final reporting.
• Review annual financial statements and resolve accounting, audit and compliance matters.

• CA(SA) qualification and soon to be or current IRBA registration as a Registered Auditor (RA)
• Strong recent external audit experience, ideally gained in a small or medium-size audit practice.
• The confidence to run multiple engagements, supervise staff and engage directly with clients.
• Sound knowledge of ISAs, IFRS for SMEs and relevant South African reporting and regulatory requirements.
• A practical, organised and approachable style, strong judgement and pride in high-quality work.
