Bookkeeper (Medical Sector) – Kuils River, Cape Town.

A dynamic, detail-obsessed Bookkeeper who takes ownership, loves accountability and isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves in a fast-paced medical environment.
This isn’t a role for someone who waits to be told what to do. We need someone who takes initiative, solves problems, keeps the numbers accurate and ensures nothing slips through the cracks.
Requirements:
- Solid bookkeeping experience (medical practice experience would be an advantage)
- Excellent accounting software and Excel skills
- Strong numerical ability and problem-solving skills
- Outstanding organisational and communication skills
- A positive attitude, resilience and the ability to work independently
- Loves balancing accounts as much as ticking off a to-do list
- Highly organised and thrives under pressure
- Exceptional attention to detail and a “get it right the first time” attitude
- Proactive, energetic and always one step ahead
- Warm, professional personality and enjoys building relationships with patients, suppliers and colleagues
- Takes ownership and pride in their work without needing constant supervision
- Can juggle multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and efficiency
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Full bookkeeping function up to trial balance
- Accounts payable and receivable
- Bank reconciliations and cash flow management
- Processing journals and maintaining accurate financial records
- Medical billing support and account reconciliations
- Managing supplier accounts and payments
- Preparing reports and assisting with month-end procedures
- General financial administration and ensuring the practice runs smoothly behind the scenes
