LW- Switchboard Operator

Overview

NHS Grampian has one post available for the position of Switchboard Operator to handle calls and respond to requests in the busy central switchboard at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, as part of the ICT Services, Customer Services team. NHS Grampian have an exciting opportunity for a part time Switchboard Operator to join our Switchboard team based at Foresterhill Health Campus, Aberdeen.

• Handle calls on a computerised switchboard and respond to queries from internal and external callers
• Respond to pager requests and emergency calls, monitor alarms, and provide advice and support to NHS employees and the public

• Part‑time post for 25 hours per week, working Monday to Friday from 1pm to 6pm
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
• Good keyboard/typing skills with the ability to work on your own initiative
• Good organisational and listening skills with a flexible approach to work
• Knowledge of NHS Grampian would be an advantage
