The Admission Clerk is responsible for facilitating the admission process of our patients and for collecting and verifying the required supporting documentation. The Admission Clerk is responsible for receiving and receipting payments, assists with theatre list compilation, confirmation and preparation of files and assist with pre-admission, switchboard and general reception duties.
Key Responsibilities:- Patient admissions & registration and processing of patient files.
- Ensure compliance with admissions criteria and regulations.
- Medical aid & financial verification.
- Cash & payment administration
- Data capturing & accuracy
- Grade 12
- Computer Literate
- Fully Bilingual
- Knowledge of Medical Aids will be advantageous.
- Previous experience in admissions in a private hospital or clinical environment will be advantageous.
- The candidate displays excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and can function effectively under pressure.
- Well organized and pays fanatical attention to detail
- The candidate is friendly and well groomed.
- Can work independently as well as in a team environment.
- The candidate demonstrates a strong commitment to outstanding customer service.
