Minimum Requirements
  • At least 3 years proven experience in a similar role within the automotive industry
  • Experienced in working with the VW brand will be advantageous
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills across a range of vehicle makes and models.
  • Excellent knowledge of automotive systems, repair techniques, and tools.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with team members and clients.
  • Commitment to safety and the ability to enforce safety procedures.
  • Proficiency in using computer software for diagnostic and reporting purposes.
  • Fluent in Afrikaans and English
  • A commitment to delivering excellent customer service
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Valid driver s license and a clean driving record
  • Clear criminal record
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and lead a team of automotive technicians, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure efficient and high-quality work.
  • Workflow Management: Coordinate and prioritize repair and maintenance tasks, ensuring timely completion of work orders and adherence to schedules.
  • Technical Expertise: Diagnose complex vehicle issues, provide technical assistance to technicians, and ensure the use of proper repair procedures and tools.
  • Quality Control: Conduct quality inspections of completed work, ensuring it meets industry standards and customer expectations.
  • Inventory Management: Manage workshop inventory, including tools, parts, and supplies, to ensure availability for repairs.
  • Customer Interaction: Interact with customers to explain repairs, provide estimates, and address any concerns or questions.
  • Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment for all workshop staff.
  • Reporting: Maintain records of repairs, parts used, and technician performance, and generate reports as needed.
