About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly analytical and skilled Automotive Diagnostic Technician to join their advanced service center in Benoni . This role requires a sharp mind for troubleshooting complex mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues that other technicians may struggle with. You will be responsible for utilizing cutting-edge diagnostic equipment and software to pinpoint faults, recommend precise solutions, and ensure the optimal performance of vehicles.

- Perform in-depth diagnostics on complex vehicle systems, including engine management, ABS, airbags, and infotainment systems.
- Utilize advanced diagnostic tools, oscilloscopes, multimeters, and scan tools to identify root causes of vehicle malfunctions.
- Interpret technical service bulletins, wiring diagrams, and repair manuals to guide diagnostic processes.
- Effectively communicate diagnostic findings and proposed repair solutions to service advisors and customers.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest automotive technologies and diagnostic procedures.
- Document all diagnostic steps, findings, and repair recommendations meticulously.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Automotive Technician with a strong focus on diagnostics.
- Proven expertise in diagnosing complex electronic and mechanical faults across various vehicle makes.
- Proficiency with OEM-level diagnostic software and hardware.
- Excellent understanding of vehicle electrical systems, engine performance, and computer controls.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., ASE certifications in diagnostics) are highly preferred.
