Farm Business Consultant - Agri-Finance

Our client is seeking a skilled Farm Business Consultant with expertise in agri-finance to serve clients in the Mpumalanga region. This role involves providing strategic financial advice, business planning, and operational guidance to farmers and agricultural enterprises. You will help clients optimize their financial performance, secure funding, manage risks, and develop sustainable business models. The position requires a strong understanding of the agricultural sector combined with robust financial acumen, operating from our client's offices near Nelspruit , with potential for on-site client visits across the province.

• Analyze farm financial statements, operational data, and market trends to identify areas for improvement.
• Develop comprehensive business plans, financial projections, and investment strategies for agricultural businesses.
• Advise clients on debt management, capital investment, and accessing agricultural financing and grants.
• Assist clients in budgeting, cash flow management, and profitability analysis.
• Provide guidance on risk management strategies, including crop insurance and hedging.
• Stay current with agricultural policies, market dynamics, and financial regulations impacting the sector.

• Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Economics, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial consulting, business analysis, or farm management, preferably within the agriculture sector .
• Strong understanding of farm operations, economics, and financial principles.
• Proficiency in financial modeling and business planning software.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and client-facing communication skills.
