Senior Drilling Supervisor

Our client requires an experienced Senior Drilling Supervisor to oversee drilling operations for their projects located near Klerksdorp . In this critical role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of drilling crews and equipment, ensuring all activities are conducted safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements. Your expertise will be vital in managing complex drilling challenges and driving operational excellence in the North West region's Oil & Gas landscape.

This is a hands-on position requiring strong leadership and technical proficiency.

• Supervise and manage all drilling operations personnel and contractors on the rig site.
• Ensure strict adherence to Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies and procedures.
• Monitor drilling progress, manage equipment, and troubleshoot operational issues in real-time.
• Coordinate logistics, including equipment, supplies, and personnel movements to the rig.
• Review and approve daily drilling reports, and communicate operational status to management.
• Implement best practices and lessons learned to continuously improve drilling performance and safety.

• Extensive experience as a Drilling Engineer or Supervisor, with a proven track record in rig site operations.
• Minimum of 5 years in a supervisory role overseeing drilling campaigns.
• Valid Well Control certification (e.g., IWCF Level 3 or higher).
• Strong understanding of drilling equipment, procedures, and potential hazards.
• Excellent leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills under pressure.
• Ability to work effectively in a demanding, physically challenging environment.
