Location: Dealesville

Contract Type: 1-Year Fixed Term Contract
Probation: 3–6 Months (depending on experience and project requirements)
Project Location: Approximately 10km west of Dealesville, Free State Province, South Africa, or such other project site as may reasonably be designated by the Client and/or Employer.

Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to oversee the commercial and contractual functions of a large-scale project environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for cost control, contract administration, procurement coordination, risk management, and ensuring the commercial success of the project.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all commercial and contractual aspects of the project.

• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, cost reporting, and financial controls.

• Review and administer contracts, subcontract agreements, and variations.

• Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and project requirements.

• Identify commercial risks and implement mitigation strategies.

• Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers.

• Monitor procurement processes and payment certifications.

• Prepare and present commercial reports to management.

• Support project teams with commercial guidance and dispute resolution.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Construction Management, or related field.

• Minimum 5–10 years’ commercial management experience within construction, infrastructure, mining, or energy projects.

• Strong understanding of contracts, project costing, and procurement processes.

• Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant commercial management software
