Quantity Surveyor

Our client, a leading Civil and Construction Engineering company is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join its Projects Division on a 2-year fixed-term contract. Reporting to the Projects Manager, the successful incumbent will be responsible for managing project costs throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring commercial viability, contractual compliance, and cost-effective project delivery.

• Prepare accurate cost estimates, project budgets, and feasibility studies.
• Compile Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and tender documentation.
• Administer and manage construction contracts in accordance with FIDIC, NEC, GCC, and JBCC principles.
• Monitor project expenditure, cash flow forecasts, and budget performance.
• Assess, verify, and certify contractor payment claims and invoices.
• Manage project variations, claims, and change orders.
• Prepare monthly commercial reports, final accounts, and project close-out documentation.
• Conduct quantity take-offs and valuations from drawings and site measurements.
• Identify commercial risks and opportunities and support dispute resolution processes.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, and project stakeholders.
• Participate in site inspections and project meetings across multiple project locations.

• Bachelor's Degree or National Diploma in Quantity Surveying.
• Professional registration with SACQSP will be advantageous.
• 3–7 years' relevant Quantity Surveying experience within civil, construction, infrastructure, or engineering environments.
• Valid South African driver's licence.
• Ability to travel extensively.
• Available to commence duties immediately.
