GIBB Mining, a subsidiary of the GIBB Group, is looking for another talented professional to complement their team, in the form of a BMH Supervisor.

The below listed responsibilities and requirements will be assessed during the interview stages and will further be confirmed with the relevant professional references that you currently are or have reported to in your previously two positions.
Key Responsibilities
- Health & Safety:
Provide active and visible support to the HSE team in enforcing project HSE requirements, Sasol standards, permit-to-work requirements and safe construction practices. - Contractor Management:
Supervise and coordinate Mechanical and BMH contractors to ensure compliance with contract requirements, approved drawings, specifications, quality standards and construction schedules. - Mechanical Construction Supervision:
Monitor and supervise the installation of conveyors, transfer towers, transfer chutes, bunker interfaces, steel structures, platework, bins, hoppers and associated mechanical equipment. - Equipment Installation:
Supervise the installation and alignment of conveyors, pulleys, idlers, drives, take-up units, gearboxes, motors, belt cleaners and ancillary equipment. - Materials Handling Systems:
Ensure all bulk materials handling systems are installed in accordance with approved design requirements and OEM recommendations. - Interface Management:
Coordinate construction activities between Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical and Control & Instrumentation contractors. - Quality Management:
Support the Quality Manager in implementing quality control processes, inspections and compliance with approved Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs). - Progress Monitoring:
Support the Project Planner and Construction Manager with progress measurements, productivity assessments and schedule monitoring. - Reporting:
Prepare daily, weekly and monthly construction progress reports and provide updates to the Construction Manager and Project Management Team. - Commercial Support:
Assist with quantity verification, progress measurements and contractor payment assessments. - Document Management:
Assist the Document Controller with site-generated documentation, redline mark-ups, quality records, inspection records and handover dossiers. - Stakeholder Liaison:
Maintain proactive engagement with Sasol representatives, contractors, OEMs, suppliers and internal project stakeholders. - Risk Management:
Identify and communicate construction risks, safety concerns, quality issues and potential schedule impacts. - Commissioning Support:
Support pre-commissioning, dry commissioning, load commissioning, performance testing and final handover activities.
