The Green Building Design Specialist will lead projects to develop energy-efficient structures, utilizing innovative materials and methodologies. The role involves working with local stakeholders to implement eco-friendly building practices that align with global sustainability standards.

• Design and oversee the construction of green buildings using sustainable materials and energy-efficient systems.
• Conduct feasibility studies for eco-friendly construction projects in rural and urban areas.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and local communities to integrate sustainable practices into building designs.
• Develop technical specifications for green building certifications (e.g., Green Star SA).
• Provide training and resources to local contractors on sustainable construction techniques.

• Proficiency in BIM (Building Information Modeling) software and CAD tools.
• Strong understanding of LEED, Green Star, or equivalent certification standards.
• Experience in project management for construction projects.
• Knowledge of renewable energy integration in building design.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or Sustainable Design. A postgraduate qualification in Environmental Science or Sustainable Construction is an advantage.

3–5 years of experience in sustainable construction, preferably with a focus on rural development or green building certifications.

45,000 – 55,000 SSP per month, depending on experience and project scope.
