Construction Manager

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Act as appointed Construction Manager in terms of Construction Regulation 8.1.
• Ensure compliance with OHSA, Construction Regulations, project requirements and company procedures.
• Implement and maintain Project H&S Plans, risk assessments and statutory appointments.
• Ensure work is performed by competent and authorised personnel.
• Monitor construction activities, progress, resources, workforce and safety compliance.
• Manage construction teams, subcontractors and Assistant Construction Managers.
• Liaise with clients, consultants and project stakeholders.
• Ensure construction activities are properly planned, coordinated and executed.

• Meet requirements for appointment as Construction Manager – CR 8.1.
• Proven experience on major construction projects.
• Experience in petrochemical, fuel, mining and/or construction projects advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of OHSA and Construction Regulations.
• Experience with risk assessments, H&S plans and statutory appointments.
• Strong leadership, planning and communication skills.
• Proficient in MS Project and Microsoft Office.
• Willing to travel and work away from home for extended periods.
• Own reliable transport and valid driver’s licence.
• Own reliable laptop with valid Microsoft Office licence.
