Lead Construction Foreman

About the Role

Our client is looking for a highly experienced and results-oriented Lead Construction Foreman to manage and supervise construction activities on-site in Vereeniging . This hands-on role involves leading a team of skilled tradespeople, ensuring adherence to project plans, safety regulations, and quality standards. You will be responsible for the day-to-day execution of construction tasks, problem-solving on the ground, and maintaining productivity.

This is a critical role for someone who thrives in a dynamic site environment and possesses strong leadership capabilities.

• Supervise and direct daily construction activities, ensuring work is performed according to project specifications and schedules.
• Manage and coordinate the work of subcontractors, labourers, and skilled tradespeople.
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and promote a safe working environment.
• Monitor quality of workmanship and materials, implementing corrective actions as needed.
• Maintain site organization, cleanliness, and proper use of tools and equipment.
• Communicate effectively with site management, engineers, and clients regarding progress and issues.

• Proven experience as a Construction Foreman or in a similar supervisory role for at least 6 years.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, building codes, and safety procedures.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents.
• Skilled in problem-solving and decision-making in a fast-paced site environment.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to work extended hours when necessary.
