Remote Construction Planner

About the Role

Our client is seeking a meticulous and proactive Construction Planner to join their team in a fully remote capacity, supporting projects primarily in the North West province, including Klerksdorp. This role is essential for developing detailed construction schedules and plans that ensure projects are delivered efficiently and on time. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, and site teams to create, monitor, and update project schedules, identify potential risks, and develop mitigation strategies.

The ideal candidate thrives in a virtual environment, possesses strong analytical skills, and has a deep understanding of construction methodologies and critical path planning.

• Develop, maintain, and update detailed construction schedules using planning software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project).
• Analyze project plans, specifications, and scopes of work to define project activities and durations.
• Identify critical path activities and potential scheduling risks, proposing proactive solutions.
• Coordinate with project teams to gather information for schedule updates and progress reporting.
• Prepare regular schedule progress reports, highlighting variances and forecast completion dates.
• Collaborate with site teams to ensure accurate and timely input of site progress data.

• Proven experience as a Construction Planner or Scheduler.
• Proficiency in advanced scheduling software such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies, sequencing, and project lifecycle.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively in a remote team setting.
• A degree or diploma in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
