Senior Construction Foreman

About the Role

Our client is seeking a seasoned and reliable Senior Construction Foreman to lead and manage on-site operations for various projects in the Vereeniging area. You will be responsible for the day-to-day supervision of construction crews, ensuring that work is carried out safely, efficiently, and according to project plans and specifications. This role requires strong leadership qualities, excellent practical knowledge of construction processes, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

As a key figure on-site, you will ensure smooth workflow, coordinate trades, and contribute to the successful completion of projects in Gauteng .

• Direct and supervise the daily activities of construction workers, ensuring tasks are completed on schedule and to quality standards.
• Implement and enforce all safety regulations, conduct daily safety briefings, and ensure a safe working environment for all personnel.
• Coordinate with project managers and subcontractors to ensure seamless integration of different trades and work phases.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents to guide work activities.
• Manage on-site material and equipment needs, ensuring timely delivery and proper utilization.
• Maintain daily logs of crew activities, progress, and any site incidents, reporting to project management.

• A recognized trade qualification in a construction discipline or equivalent experience.
• A minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience in the construction industry, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or foreman role.
• Proven ability to lead and motivate a construction team effectively.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and safety best practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to problem-solve on the fly.
