About the Role
Our client is actively seeking a proficient Site Civil Engineer to join their construction team based in Benoni . This hands-on role involves overseeing the execution of civil works on construction sites, ensuring that all civil engineering aspects of a project are implemented according to design specifications and quality standards. You will be responsible for site supervision, coordinating with contractors, managing materials, and ensuring safety protocols are rigorously followed.
This position offers a tangible impact on infrastructure development in the Gauteng region, within a company that values practical execution and on-site engineering excellence.
- Supervise and manage all on-site civil engineering activities, including earthworks, foundations, drainage, and road construction.
- Interpret civil engineering drawings and specifications, ensuring they are accurately implemented by the construction crew.
- Monitor and control the quality of construction materials and workmanship.
- Ensure strict adherence to site safety regulations and environmental protection measures.
- Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to maintain project schedules and resolve site issues.
- Conduct regular site inspections and prepare daily/weekly progress reports.
- BEng or BSc in Civil Engineering.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in site supervision or construction engineering.
- Solid understanding of construction methodologies and best practices for civil works.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and construction plans.
- Knowledge of South African construction standards and safety regulations.
- Strong leadership qualities and effective communication skills for site teams.
