Senior Project Manager - Construction

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Manager specializing in Construction for projects based in Klerksdorp . This vital role involves overseeing all aspects of construction projects from planning and design through to completion, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, and within budget. You will manage project teams, coordinate with contractors and suppliers, and maintain rigorous quality control.

• Manage all phases of construction projects, including site preparation, foundation, framing, finishes, and landscaping.
• Develop detailed project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans for construction activities.
• Oversee and direct general contractors, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure compliance with project plans and specifications.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, ensure quality, and enforce safety regulations.
• Manage project risks, identify potential delays, and implement corrective actions to keep projects on schedule.
• Liaise with clients, architects, engineers, and regulatory bodies to ensure smooth project progression.

• Extensive experience (7+ years) as a Project Manager in the construction industry , managing diverse building projects.
• Proven ability to manage large construction budgets and complex project schedules.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes.
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Relevant professional certifications (e.g., PMP, professional engineering or architecture license) are a plus.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline.
