A leading provider of integrated SMEIPP construction solutions is seeking a qualified and experienced Quantity Surveyor – Mechanical Maintenance to join their team in Secunda.

The successful candidate will have strong quantity surveying experience within mechanical maintenance environments, with a solid understanding of cost control, contract administration and commercial management.

• Bachelor's Degree or National Diploma in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
• Minimum 5 years' quantity surveying experience on mechanical maintenance contracts
• Experience with mechanical maintenance works
• Strong knowledge of cost estimating, contract administration, valuations, variations and cost control
• Sound understanding of construction contracts and commercial management
• Experience with labour broker invoicing
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and quantity surveying software
• Strong analytical, negotiation and communication skills

• Has proven quantity surveying experience within mechanical maintenance environments
• Is commercially astute with strong cost-control capabilities
• Can effectively manage valuations, variations and contract administration
• Has strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Can negotiate effectively with contractors, suppliers and other stakeholders
• Is organised, detail-oriented and able to work to deadlines
• Communicates confidently with technical and commercial stakeholders
