About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Construction Planner to join their team in Benoni . This role is crucial for developing and managing comprehensive project schedules and resource plans for complex construction projects. You will lead a team of planners, ensuring that all projects are meticulously planned from inception through to completion, optimizing timelines and resource allocation.

• Develop, implement, and maintain detailed construction project schedules using advanced planning software.
• Lead and mentor a team of construction planners, assigning tasks and ensuring the quality of planning deliverables.
• Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and site supervisors to define project scope, milestones, and dependencies.
• Analyze project progress, identify potential delays, and develop proactive strategies to mitigate risks and keep projects on track.
• Coordinate with procurement and resource management teams to ensure timely availability of materials, equipment, and labor.
• Prepare and present detailed progress reports, critical path analyses, and resource forecasts to stakeholders.

• Extensive experience as a Construction Planner , with a significant portion in a lead or senior role.
• Proficiency in advanced planning and scheduling software such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies, project life cycles, and critical path analysis.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to lead and motivate a team effectively.
