About the Role
Our client is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Site Engineer to oversee the execution of construction projects in Benoni. This role requires hands-on involvement in managing day-to-day site operations, ensuring that projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget, adhering strictly to design specifications and quality standards. You will be the primary technical point of contact on site, coordinating labor, materials, and equipment, and solving practical challenges as they arise within the Gauteng area.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious engineer to gain extensive site experience and contribute directly to the successful delivery of tangible infrastructure.
- Supervise and manage all on-site construction activities, ensuring work progresses according to the project schedule.
- Implement and enforce health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies on site.
- Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and construction plans, ensuring compliance.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel to optimize resource allocation.
- Conduct quality control checks and ensure that all construction work meets required standards.
- Prepare daily progress reports, site records, and manage site documentation.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification.
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in site engineering or construction supervision.
- Proven experience in managing construction sites and coordinating labor.
- Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety regulations.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
