About the Role
Our client is seeking a hands-on Project Manager to oversee construction and development projects in Klerksdorp. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of project execution, from initial planning and budgeting to site supervision and final handover. This role requires a deep understanding of construction methodologies, safety regulations, and contract management. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills to guide site teams and subcontractors, ensuring projects are completed to the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency, contributing to the company's expansion and development goals within the region.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the planning, scheduling, and execution of construction projects from inception to completion.
- Develop and control project budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and financial accountability.
- Oversee site operations, ensuring adherence to safety regulations, quality standards, and building codes.
- Coordinate effectively with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure seamless workflow.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement timely solutions to mitigate delays or cost overruns.
- Conduct regular site inspections and progress meetings, providing detailed reports to management.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in project management within the construction industry.
- Demonstrated experience managing commercial and/or residential construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
