Senior Construction Foreman

Our client is seeking an experienced and hands‑on Senior Construction Foreman to join their team, contributing to projects in the Benoni area. This role is central to the execution of construction tasks, involving the direct supervision of trade crews, ensuring work quality, and maintaining a safe work environment. While some project oversight might be handled remotely, the core of this role requires on‑site presence and leadership.

You will be the key link between project management and the on‑site workforce, driving productivity and upholding the company's standards for excellence and safety in all operations within Gauteng.

• Supervise and direct the daily activities of construction crews, including carpenters, masons, laborers, and other trades.
• Ensure all work is performed according to project plans, specifications, and quality standards.
• Implement and enforce all safety regulations and company policies on the job site to maintain a hazard‑free environment.
• Coordinate with the Site Manager or Project Manager on resource allocation, material needs, and scheduling adjustments.
• Inspect work in progress to ensure it meets high‑quality standards and address any deficiencies promptly.
• Maintain daily logs of work performed, personnel on site, and any incidents or issues encountered.
• Operate and maintain construction equipment safely and efficiently.

• Significant experience as a Construction Foreman or in a similar supervisory role.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and equipment.
• Proven ability to lead and motivate a diverse construction workforce.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices in construction.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
