Construction Supervisor - Road and Infrastructure

Our client, a prominent infrastructure development company, is seeking a skilled Construction Supervisor to oversee road and infrastructure projects in the Nelspruit area. You will be responsible for managing on-site operations, ensuring adherence to project plans, quality standards, and safety regulations. This role requires a practical understanding of civil engineering works, strong leadership capabilities, and the ability to effectively coordinate labour and resources to ensure efficient project execution within the Mpumalanga province.

You will play a key role in the successful completion of vital infrastructure improvements.

• Supervise daily construction activities, including earthworks, paving, drainage, and utility installations.
• Ensure that all work is performed in accordance with project specifications, drawings, and safety protocols.
• Manage and direct construction crews and subcontractors, ensuring productivity and quality of work.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain daily work logs, track resource usage, and report progress to the Project Manager.
• Promote and enforce a strong safety culture on site, ensuring compliance with all H&S regulations.

• Proven experience as a Construction Supervisor or Foreman on road and infrastructure projects.
• Solid understanding of civil engineering principles, construction methods, and materials.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering plans and specifications.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Knowledge of relevant health and safety legislation and practices.
• Experience working on projects in the Nelspruit region is advantageous.
