Construction Supervisor

Our client is looking for a dedicated and experienced Construction Supervisor to oversee operations on a key development project in Nelspruit . This hands‑on role involves managing daily construction activities, ensuring that work is performed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. You will be responsible for leading a team of skilled tradespeople, coordinating with project managers and engineers, and ensuring compliance with all building codes and safety regulations.

This is a vital position for driving project success in the Mpumalanga region.

• Direct and supervise the work of construction crews, including tradesmen and laborers, on a day-to-day basis.
• Ensure all construction activities are performed in accordance with project plans, specifications, and safety regulations .
• Coordinate with site superintendents and project managers to manage workflow and resource allocation.
• Maintain daily logs of work performed, materials used, and any site incidents or safety observations.
• Inspect work in progress to ensure quality workmanship and adherence to construction standards .
• Operate construction equipment and machinery safely and effectively when required.

• Significant experience in a supervisory role on construction sites, with a broad understanding of various trades.
• Proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage a construction workforce effectively.
• In-depth knowledge of construction safety regulations and best practices.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and construction specifications accurately.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the capacity to make timely decisions in dynamic site conditions.
• Relevant trade qualification or certification is highly regarded.
